Cook’s Projects is a website developed to showcase some of our home projects aimed for family use and are suitable for all ages. One of these projects has now developed into a commercial offering. Whilst playing Hot Wheels cars with my children, I was finding it difficult to see the winner from the release point. The cars were so close together and some distance away that it was often impossible to judge which car won! Having scoured the internet to find a Hot Wheels product to do this, it quickly became clear that there wasn’t one that could do this. So I attempted to make one! A trial with some acrylic and electronics and experimenting with electronics and algorithms. Gradually enhancing them so that it could also measure the speed of the car. After showing this one-off project to friends and social-groups, I was continuously asked if I could make it for them! After further design refinement, the Race Timer Start/Finish Line and Speedometer for 1:64 scale cars was born. Cook’s Projects Race Timers are now used by happy customers around the World including USA, UK, Canada, France, Germany, Malaysia, Singapore and China. New Projects in Development

We have been listening to our customer’s wishes and are currently developing solutions for ‘fat track’ multi lane diecast racers and Scalextric racers. There are a number of technical challenges to overcome. We hope to be able to announce the first productions models in Q3 2024.
